Poetry Lovers' Page: If by Rudyard Kipling

Poetry Lovers' Page: If by Rudyard Kipling

Rudyard Kipling

Rudyard Kipling

If

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;

If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream -- and not make dreams your master;
If you can think -- and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two imposters just the same;

If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools;

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;

If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on!"

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings -- nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;

If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run --
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And -- which is more -- you'll be a Man, my son!

Self Awareness Formulas

"Man by nature wants to know" -- Aristotle

What is SAF®?

SAF stands for Self Awareness Formulas. It is a collective work of questionnaires and health evaluations, books, computer programs, and training materials written by Joseph R. Scogna, Jr. SAF® is a registered trademark.

How is SAF® different from other methods of self awareness?

SAF® is an enlightening system of thought, a tool to help us find and understand past traumas, and how these might still be affecting us in the present. With SAF® coaching we can quickly and effectively pinpoint when a trauma occurred in your life, as well as the nature of the event.

How can SAF® find our traumas?

The Self Awareness Formulas (SAF®) define certain organ and gland systems which hold recordings of what has happened to us in the recent and distant past. Everything is recorded - specific emotions, conditions, actions. When we identify which organs are stressed the most, this will tell us what emotions need to be processed.

From there, we can discover what "code" was created from the time of childhood. These codes may have worked for us as children but as we grew older, the emotions and actions that once helped us survive in our family became obsolete. These are often impediments to us as we enter the adult world and try to forge new relationships at work and at home.

For this reason, it is absolutely essential to discover and become aware of our codes and patterns. In the future, you may find yourself in a similar situation, but after working with SAF® coaching you'll be able to say, "Wait a minute, this isn't working for me anymore." You will have spotted a behavior pattern before it becomes a problem.

With SAF® coaching, we can learn to unravel the confusions of your past and put the puzzling pieces back together so these make sense.

How does SAF® work?

The Stress 120 Questionnaire for emotional issues is an excellent method. It is a subjective test; it works on the basis of input. It will present your viewpoint, your reality as you see it. So, there are no right or wrong answers. There is no "better way" to answer the questions.
Your answers will be put into an order of priority called the SAF® chain of numbers. These numbers relate to the specific organ and gland systems, emotions and conditions as mentioned above. The SAF® chain will take what you do know about yourself and help you learn what you don't know about the causes and earlier events that created the situation you find yourself in today.

The SAF 120 Questionnaire for physical issues quickly analyzes the subjective answers you input and provides a chain relating the organs and gland systems that are creating your physical symptoms or holding them in place.

How effective is SAF®?

It is precise and accurate. Those who use SAF® to work with clients say it helps them get to the main issues in a few minutes where previously it might have taken a year of work.

Ways a person benefits from SAF® Processing:

1. You will feel tremendous release as locked up energies are released during processing.
2. The spark of understanding you receive will allow your mind to become more clear.
3. As you process chains your recall will improve.
4. Your stress level will be reduced due to a clearer understanding of "why" you're going through what you're going through.
5. As a SAF® coach, I will be helping you see what your organs/glands are telling you.
6. You will discover what emotional hazards you were coded with throughout your childhood enabling you to identify the codes that aren't working for you anymore and avoid getting into the same "boat" again.
7.Through personal work and self-reflection you can learn to connect the dots between your past and present.
8. You will heal old traumas you may have forgotten about years ago as the emotional connections are tagged.
9. You can learn to spot behavior patterns before these become a problem.
10. Your emotions will start to make sense. The confusing disarray of emotions will come under the control of your mind and body, giving you the ultimate weapon against confusion.

What is Your Definition of Health?

Does it matter what your definition of health is or what my definition of health is?  What difference does it make in the overall scheme of things how a person defines health?

There a several laws of the universe that will work tremendously in your favor.  These same laws will work tremendously against you as well.  What is the difference?  It's how you define your life. It's how you define your health.  Let's say "Law Of Attraction".  Without knowing any legal or proper definition, what does the phrase "Law of Attraction" say to you.  I would hope you will say it has something to do with attracting as well as law.  Just as the "Law of Gravity" gravitates no matter what, the "Law of Attraction" is going to attract no matter what.  What you may not understand without further study would be that these "Laws" of the universe are all about energy.  Thoughts are ENERGY

What you think you are, you are.  What you think you do, you do.  What you think you'll be, you'll be.  So, what difference does it make to check your definition of health?  Attraction,  what kind of health do you want to attract?  If ultimate health is your answer, then how do you define "Ultimate", how do you define "Health"?  Is it being or having?  Is it achieving?  Is it living and loving?

Take a moment to look up some definitions of health and write a comment about where you fall into the pattern.

Gratitude

This article touched me. Perhaps it will speak to you?
--------------------------------------------------------------

DEMONSTRATE GRATITUDE

Gratitude is a feeling, but it is more than a feeling. Gratitude is also demonstrated by what we do; it may be a sacrifice in that we don't have an overwhelming feeling. Sometimes we feel grateful, sometimes we do not. But we must always be grateful, whether or not we feel it. We must do it, that is, demonstrate gratitude not only by words but also by deeds.

Gratitude shows that we set a value on God's kindness. “In the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus” (Eph. 2:7, NKJV). In the book of Titus, Paul explains that “when the kindness and love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us” (Titus 3:4-5).

God hates ingratitude but loves our being thankful. Ingratitude is so serious that Moses warned: “'If you by any means forget the LORD your God, and follow other gods, and serve them and worship them, I testify against you this day that you shall surely perish. 20 As the nations which the LORD destroys before you, so you shall perish, because you would not be obedient to the voice of the LORD your God'” (Deut. 8:19-20; cf. Lev.26).

How do we show our gratitude? By telling Him. But that is not all. We also show gratitude by living a holy life. Never forget that we are not saved by being holy, we are holy because we have been saved. But because we are still sinners, we easily forget and become careless.

Gratitude is demonstrated furthermore by our giving Him one-tenth of our income. Now tithing was made legal under the law. We, however, are not under the law but under grace. We are not required to tithe as a condition of salvation. But God promises to bless those who do (see Mal. 3:10).

This principle continues in the New Testament (see 1 Cor. 16:2). The principle of receiving blessing is also continued: “He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully” (2 Cor. 9:6).

We show gratitude by sharing our faith with others. What if our gratitude to God was summed up entirely by our witnessing to others? What gratitude to God would you have manifested until now? And, there is a glorious fringe benefit in sharing our faith: “I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ” (Philemon 6, NIV)

We thank God by the amount of time we spend alone with Him. We reveal how important another person is to us by the actual amount of time we give to them. How much time do you give solely to God by being utterly alone with Him and talking only to Him? There will be no praying like this in heaven. Are you happy about your personal prayer life? If not, do something about it now-start today!

We thank God by discovering what pleases the Lord. This comes by experiencing two things: walking in the light (see 1 John 1:7) and becoming acquainted with the ungrieved Spirit of God (see Eph. 4:30). When we discern what pleases Him we know better how to please Him!

We show gratitude also by our church attendance, respecting those God has put over us, and doing good works. This can include such things as visiting the sick, the widows, those in prison, or who are helpless. It includes feeding the poor or giving someone a ride to church. It may mean doing things in your church that nobody wants to do; cleaning up and whatever needs to be done.

Do you value the kindness of God toward you? For what are you grateful? If you cannot think of things to show how thankful you are, take the time to make a prayer list-or “praise” list!
Here are some suggestions to begin your list: for salvation, that He gave you faith, your church, your pastor, your job-income, your health, the Bible, what God is doing for you today and what He did for you yesterday.

When you begin to count your blessings you will see that the list is endless!

This book's life-changing message will enable you to discover the power of offering a sacrifice of praise during adversity, getting God's undivided attention, and receive a greater anointing by having a thankful heart and expressing gratitude.
