"Sweet" Deception

Sweet Deception: Splenda, NutraSweet and
the FDA May Be Hazardous to Your Health

===========================================
Independently funded studies provide significant evidence
of the health nightmare that is among the most widespread
and dangerous deceptions of our time.  A genuine threat
to your health has been promoted by giant food and drug
corporations aligned with the FDA, to secretly risk your
health for their own personal gain.

Splenda - the most widely consumed artificial sweetener
in America. It is our opinion that it is not safe for human
your consumption. Splenda is made from sugar (sucrose),
and rapidly transformed, through chemical manipulation,
into a fructo-galactose molecule never before seen in nature.
Splenda is a mixture of sucralose and sugar, a chlorinated
sugar molecule. Chlorinated hydrogen compounds have a
dark history of causing serious health consequences in humans.

Aspartame is the technical name for the brand names,
NutraSweet, Equal, Spoonful, and Equal-Measure.
Aspartame, combines methanol and two amino acids,
aspartic acid and phenylanine. Found in beverages,
and dry goods, aspartame accounts for over 75% of the
adverse food reactions reported to the FDA. Among these,
the most common complaint, aside from seizures, is migraine
headaches.  More than 5,000 products contain aspartame.
Due to the hidden dangers of this sweetener, it's in your best
interests to read the labels of any processed foods you are
consuming.

In a February 1994 Department of Health and Human Services
report, many health disasters were attributed to aspartame including:
cancer, hair loss, depression, dementia, and behavioral disturbances.
The following chronic illnesses can be triggered or worsened by
ingesting of aspartame: brain tumors, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy,
chronic fatigue syndrome, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's, mental
retardation, lymphoma, birth defects, fibromyalgia, and diabetes.

DON'T BE FOOLED
================
Don't be fooled, by the deceptive marketing promoting Splenda
or NutraSweet as zero calorie sweeteners. Artificial sweeteners
are promoted as diet aids, even though they are anything but.
Many of these so called "natural" sweeteners, have been clinically
associated with excessive weight gain and obesity, high triglycerides,
high blood pressure, insulin resistance and inflammation.  According
to strong new evidence, artificial sweeteners are prone to making
you gain weight, but that's not the worst of it.

This deceptive ploy spells disaster for diabetics. Artificial sweeteners
are hundreds to many thousands of times sweeter than sugar
and are combined with substances that invalidate nearly every
study used to confirm their safety in diabetics. Artificial sweeteners
can excite your brain cells to death, break down your blood brain
barrier and cause changes in neurotransmitter levels resulting
in depression, weight gain, migraines, seizures, strokes, brain
cancers and other brain injuries, some resulting in permanent blindness.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
==================
Pregnant women should avoid sucralose at ALL costs.
Animal studies conducted provoke a great concern for
pregnant women, indicating these artificial sweeteners
may actually cause miscarriages due to its toxicity and
tendency to create havoc disturbing hormone levels.

If you must use an alternative sweetener, choose Xylitol,
the one sweetener that is safe, and provides substantial
health benefits due to its alkalizing effect on the body.
It is the least processed and has the highest density of
sweetness per calorie of carbohydrate. In concentrated
form this natural sweetener is quite high in fiber and you
can actually use it as a treatment for constipation.  Studies
show that Xylitol has a low glycemic index and improves
dental health, improves bone density, increases the absorption
of calcium and B vitamins and works as an anti-oxidant while
increasing fat metabolization.

Gratitude

This article touched me. Perhaps it will speak to you?
--------------------------------------------------------------

DEMONSTRATE GRATITUDE

Gratitude is a feeling, but it is more than a feeling. Gratitude is also demonstrated by what we do; it may be a sacrifice in that we don't have an overwhelming feeling. Sometimes we feel grateful, sometimes we do not. But we must always be grateful, whether or not we feel it. We must do it, that is, demonstrate gratitude not only by words but also by deeds.

Gratitude shows that we set a value on God's kindness. “In the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus” (Eph. 2:7, NKJV). In the book of Titus, Paul explains that “when the kindness and love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us” (Titus 3:4-5).

God hates ingratitude but loves our being thankful. Ingratitude is so serious that Moses warned: “'If you by any means forget the LORD your God, and follow other gods, and serve them and worship them, I testify against you this day that you shall surely perish. 20 As the nations which the LORD destroys before you, so you shall perish, because you would not be obedient to the voice of the LORD your God'” (Deut. 8:19-20; cf. Lev.26).

How do we show our gratitude? By telling Him. But that is not all. We also show gratitude by living a holy life. Never forget that we are not saved by being holy, we are holy because we have been saved. But because we are still sinners, we easily forget and become careless.

Gratitude is demonstrated furthermore by our giving Him one-tenth of our income. Now tithing was made legal under the law. We, however, are not under the law but under grace. We are not required to tithe as a condition of salvation. But God promises to bless those who do (see Mal. 3:10).

This principle continues in the New Testament (see 1 Cor. 16:2). The principle of receiving blessing is also continued: “He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully” (2 Cor. 9:6).

We show gratitude by sharing our faith with others. What if our gratitude to God was summed up entirely by our witnessing to others? What gratitude to God would you have manifested until now? And, there is a glorious fringe benefit in sharing our faith: “I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ” (Philemon 6, NIV)

We thank God by the amount of time we spend alone with Him. We reveal how important another person is to us by the actual amount of time we give to them. How much time do you give solely to God by being utterly alone with Him and talking only to Him? There will be no praying like this in heaven. Are you happy about your personal prayer life? If not, do something about it now-start today!

We thank God by discovering what pleases the Lord. This comes by experiencing two things: walking in the light (see 1 John 1:7) and becoming acquainted with the ungrieved Spirit of God (see Eph. 4:30). When we discern what pleases Him we know better how to please Him!

We show gratitude also by our church attendance, respecting those God has put over us, and doing good works. This can include such things as visiting the sick, the widows, those in prison, or who are helpless. It includes feeding the poor or giving someone a ride to church. It may mean doing things in your church that nobody wants to do; cleaning up and whatever needs to be done.

Do you value the kindness of God toward you? For what are you grateful? If you cannot think of things to show how thankful you are, take the time to make a prayer list-or “praise” list!
Here are some suggestions to begin your list: for salvation, that He gave you faith, your church, your pastor, your job-income, your health, the Bible, what God is doing for you today and what He did for you yesterday.

When you begin to count your blessings you will see that the list is endless!

Adapted from “Just Say Thanks” by R.T. Kendall, copyright 2005, published by Charisma House. This book's life-changing message will enable you to discover the power of offering a sacrifice of praise during adversity, getting God's undivided attention, and receive a greater anointing by having a thankful heart and expressing gratitude.

Milk, Lies, & Video Tape

MILK - LIES - VIDEOTAPE
======================
Reporters at a Fox News affiliate in
Florida did an in-depth investigation
of the dangers of Monsanto's BST
in milk and its clear connection to
cancer in people who consume the
milk. Monsanto lawyers heard about
the story and threatened the network
with "dire consequences" if the
program was aired. The network
tried to bribe the reporters to change
the story. They refused. The station then
threatened to fire them. They fought
back. Fox fired them for insubordination.

Bottom Line: This story is to remind you
not to believe anything you read, see, or
hear in the mass media regarding medicine,
alleged scientific studies, drug campaigns,
or matters concerning your health and
well-being.  Anything and everything
presented to you is likely tainted by
what effect the story has on their
advertising dollars.

Click on this website to view the incredible cover up story:

Please forward this information to your
family, friends and associates. If they're
drinking milk from hormone-injected
cows, this story could save their life.
And they certainly won't get this
information from the mainstream media.

Shh!!! I am hunting secrets.

Secrets are everywhere.  How is a secret a secret if its everywhere?  It seems to me that a secret isn't a secret anymore if everyone has access to learning it.  Well, to answer my own question I have decided that the secret is the answer to a confusing situation.  Such as the best way to lose weight, I'm sure no one has ever heard only one way that is touted as the best way to lose weight.  What about defying the process of aging?  Anybody only heard of one opinion about that?  I've heard dozens or more for every subject I look into.  Wow! What confusion.  Now I know why the secret is whatever unravels all the secrets.  Do you want to know what my biggest secret is?  Shh!!! don't tell anyone and I'll tell you.  My biggest secret is using good old fashioned common sense.  Want to lose weight?  Drink plenty of water, eat less, walk more, and see beauty when looking in the mirror.  Want to defy aging?  Drink plenty of water, eat less, walk more, and see beauty when looking in the mirror.  Pretty simple, huh? That's what a secret is; something that is known everywhere, but is so simple it's totally ignored.

Biggest Secret of the Day:  Visit this website SavingDinner.com and find a great recipe program for yourself and your family.  What Leanne is accomplishing with Saving Dinner is exactly what she says, Saving Dinner.  Dinner with the family is the most important meal of the day.  Dinner can be a real problem with the busy lifestyles we all lead.  Leanne has put together menus and meal plans (with a shopping list) to take care of all the problems of cooking for dinner.  Children that eat dinner at home are more balanced in life; physically, emotionally, mentally, and believe it or not, spiritually.  Here's another secret about eating dinner at home; even if you have nobody to call your own, eating dinner at home (home-cooked that is) keeps you more balanced overall as well.

If you are wondering what to do for Christmas, don't, Leanne has that covered too. Click here to find out more info or to order a cookbook especially created for your best Christmas ever.
Getting Christmas dinner on the table this year will be a breeze when you have most of the work done early. Check out our menu…Christmas for the Freezer
